Ryan Barnes - Head Coach
In his first season as Sailors Head Coach. Ryan is looking to make a smooth transition from the ice to behind the bench. Ending a seven year professional career. Ryan brings over 350 games of pro hockey experience to the Sailor Organization. Spending the majority of his time in the American Hockey League as well as a stint with the NHL's Detroit Red Wings in 2003-2004. Prior to playing professionally Ryan performed in the Ontario Hockey League for the Sudbury Wolves and was drafted 2nd Round 55th overall to Detroit in 1998. Ryan celebrated his final junior season by helping the Barrie Colts win the OHL Championship in 2000.

Among the many great coaches Ryan has played for former NHL coach of the year winner Tom Watt (Sudbury Wolves) former NY Islanders Head Coach Bill Stewart (Barrie Colts) and while playing for Cincinnati(AHL) Ryan spent two seasons under Current Detroit Red Wings Head Coach Mike Babcock.

This is the second straight season together for Ryan and Older cousin Scott Barnes. The two played together last season for the Muskegon Fury(UHL) This season Scott joins the Sailors as Assistant Coach.

Ryan is a native of Dunnville, ON and resides there with wife Jennifer and sons Bennett and Blake.

Scott Barnes - Associate Head Coach
Scott makes his return to Sailors after an eight year hockey expedition. Scott suited up in Sailor blue 1995-1996,1997-1998 and 1998-99 seasons. After a sucessful junior career, Scott moved on to Humber College for 3 years while earning his degree in Business Administration, Scott helped the Hawks to three OCAA Championship finals. Following Humber Scott crossed the pond to play professional hockey in Belgium for Olympia Heist Op Den Berg where he won a league championship. Following a year in belgium, Scott moved to Scotland loaning his services to the Dundee Stars of the British National League where he won he won his 2nd consecutive professional championship. Moving back to North America Scott caught on with Central Hockey League's Youngstown Steelhounds. A 20 goal scorer then was traded to playoff bound Oklahoma City Blazers prior to the trade deadline. Last Scott suited along side younger cousin Ryan in Muskegon having his season cut short to ACL surgery.

Scott plans to use his business degree and open up his own business .

Dan Foran - Assistant Coach

Dan Foran re-joins the Sailors Staff bringing a wealth of knowledge and hockey experience. Returning for his third stint with the Sailors Dan had previously worked for the club in Advance Scouting role in 2006 and as Interim Assistant Coach in 2003. As well as the Jr. B level, Dan has coached at the Jr. C and AAA minor hockey levels throughout the past 12 seasons and also has been involved with O.M.H.A. Under 17 program of Excellence for the past 6 seasons. Dan is a native of St. Catharines.

Kevin Rosebrugh - Assistant Coach and Goaltender Coach
Kevin joins the Sailors staff as an Assistant Coach and will be working closely with the Goaltenders. "Rosey" began a stellar goaltending career in the GoldenHorseshoe in 1994-1995 signing in Welland after attending Training Camp of the OHL's Niagara Falls Thunder. 1995 season Kevin received F.G. Bloomfield Trophy for lowest team goals against average. After his Jr.B career, Kevin attended pro training camps in the ECHL, UHL, and CHL. Kevin also worked as an Instructor with former Calgary Flames goaltending coach, John Elkin, at his goaltending school in Toronto. Now working for Canada Post, Kevin is a native of Dunnville and resides in Ridgeway with his Wife Tamara and daughter Ashley.
